The First Bite
The braziers were lit and the street was empty when the first phone found the QR code. Chives stepped up, picked a name, and became the first soul ever to feed the zombie for real. Six hits, nine misses, three perfect taps, and 53 pieces of candy in the bag.
It was a humble number. It was also, for one glorious moment, the high score of the entire world.

The Keeper Lights the Board
Forty-five minutes of silence. Then the keeper of the house slipped in under the name hestu and put 122 on the board, so the next arrival would have something to chase.
It worked. Two minutes later Mombun took the challenge: thirteen hits, a single miss, and 106 pieces.

The Wanderers
As darkness settled, they came one by one out of the fog. Most played twice: once to learn that the grown-ups really do take your candy, and once to get even.
Then, at 7:40 pm: a stranger in a tall hat appeared. Madhatter took a turn and never tapped once. Fifteen chances drifted past the zombie: grown-ups, piñatas, pails. Zero candy. They appeared at that moment only to dissipate back into the dark. But as with all things important in life, this was not the end of their story.

The Beast Arrives
Then came a crowd, and in front of it Beastmonkey. Their first game was nearly flawless: thirteen hits and not a single miss. Then they went straight back in line, and again, and again. Four games back to back, the crowd watching from the street.
When the dust settled, Beastmonkey owned the all-night board with 259 pieces. A friend's phone signed in as madmax mid-rampage and never joined the line. At 9:43 there was a shimmer as Star girl added 46 to the legendary tales.

The Final Feast
There was then a moment when kindred spirits appeared: Pinkie pie and Burnice. What followed was thirteen games in eight minutes. The line was never empty, each of them rejoining before the other's game had even ended.
Pinkie pie's very first game was flawless, a feat almost nobody pulls off on their first try: fourteen hits, zero misses, five perfects, 196 pieces. It was now the best single game of the night by a mile. Beastmonkey's all-night crown fell two games later.
At 10:13 a familiar hat reappeared. Madhatter was back, and with a vengeance for candy! This time 167, then 192!
And a moment later, it happened: the best game of the night, one that deserves a pause all its own.
Fifteen hits. Zero misses, flawless. Five perfect taps. On their fifth try, Burnice played the best game of Halloween night, and it was exactly Beastmonkey's whole-night haul in a single 30-second run.
Every game of the final feast, in order. Each is 10 pieces of candy.
Pinkie pie played three more for good measure. The last game ended at 10:17 pm, the braziers burned on, and the zombie went back to playing by himself.
The Keepers of the Street
The braziers were built and the jack-o'-lantern was carved for this one night, and they keep silent watch, welcoming visitors.

The Unsolved Mysteries
Somewhere in the night, the crowd tossed Halloween love into the sky and cast votes on what came next. The braziers saw it all. The server, sadly, kept no record. How many pumpkins flew? Which piñatas did the crowd summon? Those stories belong to the people who were there.
